TikTok has opened up a whole new world of opportunities for creators to showcase their talents and turn their passions into professions.

The video-sharing app has become a gateway, allowing many to transition from humble beginnings to living out their dreams through viral fame and lucrative brand deals.

Amidst the countless creators vying for the spotlight, King Roso, the mysterious benefactor raining down the app’s highest-value “lion” gifts upon fortunate live-streamers.

On TikTok, a single lion gift carries a staggering price tag of around 52,000 Kenyan shillings, approximately $400. Yet King Roso doesn’t simply gift lions sparingly, he showers them by the dozens upon random creators in extravagant displays of wealth.

King Roso is a mysterious figure on TikTok. Nobody knows his real name or true identity. However, he has over 57,000 followers on the app. His slogan is “#bidii kujituma” which means “effort and perseverance” in Swahili.

He calls himself king, like the lion who is king of the jungle. This is because he is known for gifting money and virtual gifts to other TikTokers during livestreams.

His TikTok is full of videos of lions. He usually speaks Swahili during live streams, suggesting he may be Kenyan.

One of his biggest gifts was donating 850,000 Kenyan shillings (over $6,000) for the funeral costs of the Kenyan TikToker Brian Chira. He is famous for randomly gifting “lion” virtual gifts worth around to people during TikTok livestreams.

Despite his generosity, King Roso’s true identity is a mystery because he has never shown his face online or posted any pictures of himself.

He used to speak during TikTok live streams but stopped after people criticized him. He claimed he was just a business person.

He appointed a spokesperson named Shiro Sherry, who claims to have known him for years.

King Roso also gifted 1.5 million shillings in cash to TikToker Nyako through his spokesperson and another TikToker named Peter Kioi.

King Roso frequently gives expensive virtual gifts to many Kenyan and international TikTokers.

He is in close relationships with popular creators like Nyako, Peter Kioi, Lady Opiyo Mc Chris, Baba Talisha and also JLopez. Recently, he gifted 25 lion gifts to Nyako’s daughter Sarah for her birthday and 12 lion gifts to Nyako himself.
